November 29th, 2024
Shih-Liang International Conference Hall,
National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan
In recent years, the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, particularly large language models (LLMs), has had a profound impact on various academic disciplines. For the humanities, these technologies have the potential to transform how researchers access, understand, and apply knowledge. Many scholars are exploring the use of AI in fields such as history, literature, and philosophy, expanding traditional research paradigms through big data analysis and the support of language models. However, the application of AI in the humanities is still in an exploratory phase and requires further discussion and collaboration.
This symposium aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for exchange, inviting humanities scholars and AI experts to jointly explore the applications and challenges of artificial intelligence in modern humanities research. We hope this symposium will foster cross-disciplinary dialogue, examining how AI technology can be applied to fields such as history, literature, art, and philosophy, and exploring how AI can assist in the research process within the humanities.
